This past September, the Georgia Department of Transportation completed its second full year of two way Internet electronic bidding with Expedite and Bid Express. Iowa, Michigan and North Carolina have all joined the ranks in the past year.
South Carolina and Wisconsin are currently doing one way bidding, with plans for two way Internet bidding in 2002.
Two states, Virginia and Minnesota, are planning to complete implementation of electronic bidding by the end of this year. Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico, Indiana and Louisiana all have plans to do so in 2002.
Two additional states, Kentucky and Colorado, are now in planning stages for electronic bidding.
