This federally funded contract includes the rehabilitation
of two airports located Northeast of Dillingham along the
Nushagak River. Project CFAPT00292 is located at the Ekwok
Airport and Project CFAPT00871 is located at the New
Stuyahok Airport. Both projects include the resurfacing of
existing runway, taxiway and apron operating surfaces and
the re-establishment of embankment crowns and grades to
meet applicable FAA standards. Additional improvements
include replacement of runway and taxiway lighting,
replacement of existing wind cones, rotating beacons, and
aircraft tie-downs, drainage improvements, brush clearing,
slope stabilization, and application of a dust palliative.
