Modify the existing Alaska Class Ferry (ACF) to construct
8 single person staterooms on the Bridge Deck, and 8
two-person staterooms on the Upper Deck. Additional work
includes the installation of a Galley, Scullery, and Mess
spaces on the Upper Deck; a new Fan Room on the Bridge
Deck; and extension of the existing Port Stair Tower to the
Bridge Deck to serve the new accommodations. Construction
will include removal of existing furniture and equipment,
linings, ceilings, piping, electrical wiring, fixtures, and
other outfitting in the Pump Room and Passenger Upper and
Bridge Decks. Following removals, the vessel shall be
modified by addition of new structure, piping,
toilet/shower modules, electrical wiring and fixtures,
ceiling, linings, deck coverings, furniture, galley
equipment and fixtures necessary to accommodate the revised
vessel arrangement. All ancillary work required to complete
these modifications shall be included in this project.
