This project is a preventative maintenance project on the
Kodiak Harbor Channel Bridge. The project would resurface
the concrete deck with a polymer concrete overlay, field
metalize all structural steel surfaces, replace bridge deck
drain grates, repair concrete bridge barriers and steel
connector plates, and replace utility hangers. The project
would also reconstruct the asphalt concrete at both
approaches, replace the concrete sidewalk, curb, and gutter
at the north approach, replace an existing storm drain pipe
and structure, and restore and embankment slope. The
project is necessary to reduce maintenance costs and
address deficiencies identified on the 2018 Bridge
Inspection Report.
