Message Center Mailboxes

Incoming messages from the Bid Express^® service and messages from the agency for which you are subscribed are sent to your Bid Express inbox in My Message Center.  From there, messages can be read, deleted, or sorted into other mailboxes.

The Bid Express service deletes any message that is over a year old.

To access the mailboxes, click the Messages icon. If you have no messages in a selected mailbox, the Bid Express service displays a notice stating you have no messages.

Reading Messages

A star on the Messages icon indicates you have unread messages. To read your messages:

1. Click the Messages icon if your inbox is not yet open. The Bid Express service goes to the inbox and displays a list of your messages. If the message you want to read is not in the inbox, select the appropriate mailbox from the list.

2. Select the message from the list. The Bid Express services goes to the View Message page and displays the message details.

3. After you read the message, click My Message Center in the upper left of the Message Center window. The Bid Express service returns you to the My Message Center inbox.

If the message is about a specific letting or proposal, a link to the letting or proposal is included in the message.

Sorting Messages

When you first receive a message, it is stored in your inbox.  You can move messages to any predefined mailbox.

1. Click the Messages icon if your inbox is not yet open. The Bid Express service goes to the inbox and displays a list of your messages. If the message you want to move is not in the inbox, select the appropriate mailbox from the list.

2. Select the check box for the messages you wish to move.

3. Select the down arrow on the Move To list and chose the mailbox to where you want your messages moved. The Bid Express service moves the messages to the selected mailbox.  

Deleting Messages

You can delete the messages from your Message Center. An email that has been deleted cannot be recovered.

1. Click the Messages icon if your inbox is not yet open. The Bid Express service goes to the inbox and displays a list of your messages. If the message you want to delete is not in the inbox, select the appropriate mailbox from the list.

2. Select the check box for the messages you wish to delete.

3. Click delete.  A delete confirmation window displays.

4. Click ok. The Bid Express service deletes the selected messages.
